Jordan Nolan has agreed to a two-year contract extension with the Los Angeles Kings worth $1.4 million.

Nolan has four goals and 10 points in 70 career NHL games.

Zach Redmond has signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Winnipeg Jets.

Redmond was a seventh round pick in the 2008 NHL Draft.

Brandon Yip has signed a one-year deal with the Phoenix Coyotes.

Yip appeared in 34 games last season with the Nashville Predators.

The Los Angeles Kings have agreed to an eight-year extension with Dustin Brown.

The deal will run through the 2011-22 season.

Brown was the 13th overall pick in the 2003 NHL Draft.

Daniel Alfredsson has informed the Senators that he is leaving the organization to pursue his free-agent opportunities, a source confirmed.

Another source tells ESPN.com that Alfredsson has decided to join the Red Wings. Detroit and his agent have to work out a deal over the next few hours.

Tim Thomas is looking to make his return to the NHL next season following a year of self-imposed absence.

Thomas' agent, Bill Zito, announced his client's intentions via his Twitter account Monday afternoon. 

"Tim Thomas has asked me to explore possible options for next season. We'll have no further comment at this time. Thanks," Zito tweeted.
